DEFRAGMENT YOUR COMPUTER HARD DISK DRIVE VOLUMES IN WINDOWS XP

In order to De-fragment your Computer Hard Disk Drive Volumes, follow the following steps.

1.(a).  Click on "Start" Button > Go to My Computer and Right Click on it and click "Manage"

1.(b) OR Click on "Start" > "All Programes" > "Accessories" > "System Tools" >"Disk Defragmenter" as the below given image shows:-

2. If you have followed Step 1.(a), on the left column, Click on Disk Defragmenter and select the Disk Drive Volume in the right column, and  click on "Defragment" Button.

3. Now you will get a window as shown below image, wait till the process completes. Once it is over, you can select other Disk volumes also to defragemnt by selecting the Disk Volume and clicking on "Defragment" button.

Once the Process is over, Windows XP will give you a report. You can view, if you want, and close this window and continue your work.
